Privacy Policy
The short version: your data never leaves your phone.
Last updated August 2026.
Ficus was built around one rule that never bent: no data gets taken from you, ever.
What gets collected
Nothing. Specifically, Ficus does not include:
- Analytics or usage tracking of any kind
- Crash reporting
- An account, sign in, or profile tied to your identity
- Cloud sync of any kind
- Any networking code at all. The app can't make a network request even if it wanted to, because that code was never written
Where your data lives
Your blocked apps, unblock steps, saved profiles, and session state are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is transmitted, synced, or backed up by Ficus. Delete the app and that data goes with it.
Screen Time permissions
Ficus uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls) to apply and lift blocks. That permission comes from Apple's own system prompt and is managed entirely by iOS. None of it reaches Somewhat Productive, because there's no server for it to reach. Review or revoke access any time in Settings, under Screen Time.
Third parties
Ficus doesn't use any third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics providers. There is no one else in the loop.
Changes to this policy
If Ficus ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page gets updated to match, and you'll be notified.
